Memi Koupa is a film industry professional, based in Athens, Greece.
She works domestically and internationally as freelance director of short films,
documentaries, pop promos and TV  commercials,  in addition  to directing
corporate events, awards ceremonies and artistic performances.
She employs a wide range of styles, media and techniques in her work
and she is committed to delivering inspiring visuals.
During recent years, her work has been awarded in film festivals ( Honorable mention
for ‘Black box’ short film, 2008 SoCal Independent Film Festival, Huntington Beach,
U.S.A. & 2008 Bridge Fest, Canada ) and showcased in several art group shows
in Athens and London.
Recent work on film includes a 40-minute documentary/travelogue on Greek wine production
to be broadcast on U.S. network TV ( ‘ New Wines of Greece’).
She is currently developing ‘Invisible Cities’, a documentary feature addressing
social issues in Europe.
Her favorite motto: ‘Anything that’s interesting is new’.
