
Memi Koupa is a film industry professional, based in Berlin, Germany
and Athens, Greece. She works domestically and internationally ( Europe & the U.S. )
as a freelance director of documentaries, pop promos and TV commercials, short films,
in addition to directing corporate events, awards ceremonies and artistic performances.
She employs a wide range of styles, media and techniques in her work
and she is committed to delivering inspiring visuals.
During recent years, her work has been awarded in film festivals ( Honorable mention for
‘Black box’ short film, 2008 SoCal Independent Film Festival, Huntington Beach,
U.S.A. & 2008 Bridge Fest, Canada ) and showcased in several art group shows
in Athens and London.
Recent work on film includes a 40-minute documentary/travelogue on Greek wine production
to be broadcast on U.S. network TV ( ‘ New Wines of Greece’).
She is currently writing and directing ‘Invisible Cities’, a documentary series addressing
current social issues for international TV networks ( German-Greek co-production).
Her favorite motto: ‘Anything that’s interesting is new’.
